Overview

Welcome to Ressto! This guide will help you get your restaurant set up and ready to accept orders in just a few steps. By the end, you'll have a live storefront that customers can order from directly.

Step 1 — Sign Up for a Ressto Account

Go to app.ressto.co and create your free account. All you need is your name, email address, and a password. Once you sign up, you'll land on the My Restaurants page — your central hub for managing all your restaurants. Step 2 — Add Your First Restaurant

Click + Add Restaurant to open the setup wizard. You'll go through 4 quick steps:

Basics — Enter your restaurant name, cuisine type, logo, and brand colour
Service — Choose how you serve customers: Delivery, Takeaway, Dine-in, or Table booking
Location — Pin your restaurant on the map and fill in your address
Settings — Set your currency, timezone, and language Click Create restaurant at the end and your restaurant is live.

Overview

The Dashboard is the first page you see when you open a restaurant in Ressto. It gives you a real-time snapshot of your restaurant's performance today — orders, revenue, and recent activity — all in one place.

How to Get There

What You'll See on the Dashboard

Today's Stats

At the top of the page, four key metrics show you how your restaurant is performing right now:

Today's Orders — Total number of orders received today, with a percentage change vs. yesterday
Revenue Today — Total revenue earned today, with a percentage change vs. yesterday
Avg Order Value — The average value of each order today, compared to yesterday
New Customers — Number of new customers today, with a count for the week

Plan Banner

If you are on the Basic plan, a green banner appears at the top reminding you of your plan limits and offering a quick Upgrade now button.

Restaurant Open / Close Toggle

In the top-right corner, you will see a Restaurant Open button showing your current status. Click it to change your restaurant's availability:

Open — Your restaurant is accepting orders
Close manually — Customers cannot order until you reopen

How to Set Up Tax Slabs and Service Fees

Overview

The Tax Slabs page lets you configure the tax rates that apply to your menu items, and add service fees or surcharges for specific days, services, or payment methods. Ressto supports different tax rates per service type — so Delivery, Takeaway, and Dine-in can each be taxed differently if needed.

How to Get There

In the left sidebar, click Settings.

Tax Mode

At the top of the page, select how tax is treated on your menu prices:

Menu prices already include taxes — Tax is baked into the price displayed. Customers see one price and no tax is added at checkout. This is the most common setup.
Add tax on top of menu prices — Tax is calculated and added to the subtotal at checkout. Customers see the tax as a separate line item. Click Save after selecting your preferred mode.

Adding a Tax Slab

A tax slab is a named tax rate that you assign to menu items. You can have multiple slabs for different item types (e.g. a 5% rate for food and a 12% rate for beverages).

Click + Add Tax Slab.
In the modal, fill in:
- Name (required) — A descriptive label (e.g. Standard Food — GST 5%, VAT)
- Tax rate by service type — Set rates separately for Delivery, Takeaway, and Dine-in. Toggle off any service type that should not be taxed.

How to Customise Your Storefront Branding

Overview

The Branding settings let you control how your restaurant looks on your public storefront — your logo, cover photo, brand colour, and the overall layout of your menu. A well-branded storefront builds trust and makes your restaurant look professional.

How to Get There

In the left sidebar, click Settings.

Logo

Upload your restaurant logo to display it on your storefront and ordering page.

Click Upload under the Logo section.
Select your logo image file.
- Recommended size: 200 × 200 px (square)
- Accepted formats: PNG, JPG, or WEBP
- Maximum file size: 1 MB
- Transparent backgrounds work best on PNG files

Tip: A square logo works best. Circular images may get cropped.

Cover Photo

The cover photo is the banner image shown at the top of your storefront ordering page. It's the first thing customers see.

If no cover photo is set yet, click Upload to add one.
If a photo is already set, click Replace to swap it out or Remove to delete it.

Overview

Your profile contains your personal account information — your name, email address, and phone number. You can update these details at any time from the My Profile page.

How to Get There

Log in to your Ressto account.

How to Update Your Profile

On the My Profile page, you will see the following fields:
- Full Name — Your legal or preferred name
- Display Name — The name shown in certain parts of the platform (optional)
- Email Address — Your login email. This will show a Verified badge once confirmed
- Phone Number — Select your country code from the dropdown, then enter your number
Click into any field and update the information as needed.
Your Role is shown below your contact details (e.g. Owner). Roles are assigned by the platform admin and cannot be changed here.

Note: Your email address is used to log in to Ressto. If you need to change your login email, contact Ressto support.

Overview

The Orders page is where you view and manage every order your restaurant receives — past, present, and scheduled. It shows all order details in one list and gives you tools to filter, search, and take action on orders.

How to Get There

Page Layout

Live Indicator

At the top of the page, a green Live dot confirms that the orders page is updating in real time. New orders will appear automatically without needing to refresh.

Status Filter Tabs

Use the tabs across the top to filter orders by their current status:

All — Shows every order regardless of status
New — Orders that have just come in and are waiting to be accepted
Scheduled — Orders placed in advance for a future time
In Kitchen — Orders currently being prepared
Ready — Orders that are prepared and waiting for pickup or collection
Completed — Orders that have been fulfilled
Cancelled — Orders that were cancelled
Abandoned — Orders that were started by a customer but never completed

Filters and Search

Date range dropdown — Filter by Today, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, or a custom date range
Service type dropdown — Filter by All Service Types, Delivery, Takeaway, or Dine-in
Search bar — Search by order number (e.g. #ORD-00038) or custo
