Getting Started with Ressto

Overview

Welcome to Ressto! This guide will help you get your restaurant set up and ready to accept orders in just a few steps. By the end, you'll have a live storefront that customers can order from directly.

Step 1 — Sign Up for a Ressto Account

Go to app.ressto.co and create your free account. All you need is your name, email address, and a password.

Once you sign up, you'll land on the My Restaurants page — your central hub for managing all your restaurants.

Step 2 — Add Your First Restaurant

Click + Add Restaurant to open the setup wizard. You'll go through 4 quick steps:

  1. Basics — Enter your restaurant name, cuisine type, logo, and brand colour
  2. Service — Choose how you serve customers: Delivery, Takeaway, Dine-in, or Table booking
  3. Location — Pin your restaurant on the map and fill in your address
  4. Settings — Set your currency, timezone, and language

Click Create restaurant at the end and your restaurant is live.

For a detailed walkthrough of each step, see How to Add Your First Restaurant.

Step 3 — Set Up Your Menu

Once your restaurant is created, go to Menu in the left sidebar. From here you can:

  1. Click + Add Item to add your first dish — give it a name, description, price, and photo
  2. Use Categories to group your items (e.g. Starters, Mains, Desserts)
  3. Add Modifier Groups if you want customers to customise their orders (e.g. size, toppings, add-ons)

Tip: On the Basic plan, you can add up to 100 active menu items. Upgrade to Growth for unlimited items.

Step 4 — Configure Your Settings

Before you start taking orders, take a few minutes to set up your restaurant properly.

Go to Settings and review the following:

  • Restaurant Profile → Basic Information — Check your restaurant name and description
  • Restaurant Profile → Service Types — Make sure the right services are turned on (Delivery, Takeaway, etc.)
  • Branding — Upload your logo and cover photo, and confirm your brand colour looks right
  • Delivery — If you offer delivery, set up your delivery zones and charges

Step 5 — Preview Your Storefront

Click View Storefront from your restaurant's Dashboard to see exactly what your customers will see when they visit your ordering page.

Check that your restaurant name, menu, and branding all look correct before sharing your storefront link with customers.

Step 6 — Start Accepting Orders

Your restaurant is now live. Share your storefront link with customers and you're ready to go.

When a new order comes in:

  • You'll hear an order alert sound and see it appear in the Orders section
  • Review the order details and click Mark Ready when it's prepared
  • Use Kitchen View on a tablet or second screen to manage order flow in the kitchen

Tip: Download the Order Taking App (linked from your Dashboard under Quick Links) to manage orders from your mobile device.
