How to Add Your First Restaurant

How to Add Your First Restaurant

Overview

This guide walks you through adding a restaurant to your Ressto account. The process takes less than 5 minutes and is broken into 4 simple steps — Basics, Service, Location, and Settings. Once complete, your restaurant will appear on your My Restaurants dashboard and be ready to manage.

Before You Begin

  • Make sure you are logged in to your Ressto account at app.ressto.co
  • Have your restaurant's address ready
  • Optionally, prepare your restaurant logo (PNG or JPG, 512 × 512 px, max 1 MB)

How to Get There

From the My Restaurants page, click the + Add Restaurant button in the top-right corner of the screen — or click the Add Restaurant card in the grid.

This opens the restaurant setup wizard at app.ressto.co/restaurants/new.

Step 1 — Basics

Tell us about your restaurant

This is where you enter the information that customers will see first on your storefront.

  1. Enter your Restaurant name in the text field (e.g. Spice Garden). This field is required.
  2. Click the Cuisine type dropdown and select one or more cuisine types that best describe your food (e.g. Indian, Italian, Chinese).
  3. (Optional) Click Upload logo to add your restaurant logo. Use a PNG or JPG image, 512 × 512 px recommended, maximum 1 MB.
  4. Choose a Brand colour for your storefront. Pick from the preset colour swatches, or enter a custom HEX code in the text field.
  5. Click Continue to proceed to Step 2.

Tip: You can always update your logo, brand colour, and other details later from Settings → Branding.

Step 2 — Service

How do you serve your customers?

Choose the service types your restaurant offers. You can select more than one, and you can change these at any time after setup.

  1. Click on each service type that applies to your restaurant:
    • Delivery — Customers place an order and you deliver it to their address
    • Takeaway — Customers order online and pick up from your outlet
    • Dine-in — Customers eat at your restaurant
    • Table booking — Customers reserve a table in advance
  1. Selected options will be highlighted. Make sure at least one is selected.
  2. Click Continue to proceed to Step 3.

Tip: Not sure which to pick? You can enable or disable service types anytime from Settings → Restaurant Profile → Service Types.

Step 3 — Location

Where are you?

Ressto uses your restaurant's location to route deliveries correctly and display your address to customers.

  1. Use the Search address bar to search for your restaurant's location. The map pin will move automatically.
  2. If needed, drag the red pin on the map to fine-tune the exact location.
  3. Fill in the following address fields:
    • Street address (required) — e.g. 123 Main St, Suite 4
    • Country — Select your country from the dropdown
    • State — Enter your state or region
    • City — Enter your city
    • Postal code — Enter your postcode or ZIP code
  1. Click Continue to proceed to Step 4.

Tip: Getting the pin in the right place matters for delivery — take a moment to drag it to your exact restaurant entrance if needed.

Step 4 — Settings

Localise it

This step sets the currency, timezone, and language for your restaurant's dashboard and storefront.

  1. Select your Currency from the dropdown (e.g. INR — Indian Rupee ₹, USD — US Dollar $). This is the currency your customers will see at checkout.
  2. Select your Timezone (required) — Choose the timezone where your restaurant is located. This ensures your opening hours and order times are displayed correctly.
  3. Select your Primary language — The default language for your dashboard and storefront. Customers can switch languages at any time.
  4. (Optional) Enter a Support phone number that customers can call for help.
  5. (Optional) Enter a Support email address for customer enquiries.
  6. Click Create restaurant to finish.
