How to Use Kitchen View

Overview

Kitchen View is a simplified display of your active orders, designed to be used on a tablet or second screen in the kitchen. It shows only the information your kitchen team needs — what to prepare and in what order — without the clutter of the full Orders page.

How to Open Kitchen View

  1. Go to Orders in the left sidebar.
  2. Click the Kitchen View button in the top-right corner of the Orders page.

Kitchen View will open in a new browser tab or window.

How Kitchen View Works

Kitchen View displays your current active orders as cards. Each card shows:

  • The order number
  • The items ordered
  • The service type (Delivery, Takeaway, Dine-in)
  • How long ago the order was placed

As you mark orders as ready from the main Orders page or from this view, they move out of the active list.

Tip: Keep Kitchen View open on a tablet mounted in your kitchen. It updates in real time so your team always sees the latest orders without having to check the main dashboard.

How to Place a Test Order

Before going live, you can place a test order to make sure your ordering flow and kitchen display are working correctly.

  1. Go to Orders.
  2. Click the Test Order button in the top-right corner.
  3. Choose the service type you want to test:
    • Delivery — Test the delivery flow
    • Takeaway — Test the customer pickup flow
    • Dine-in — Test an at-table order
  1. A test order will be created and will appear in your Orders list and Kitchen View.

Note: Test orders are clearly labelled and do not affect your revenue or order count statistics.
