How to Set Up Tax Slabs
How to Set Up Tax Slabs
Overview
The Taxation settings allow you to configure tax rates for menu items and determine how taxes are applied to menu prices. You can create multiple tax slabs and configure different rates for Delivery, Pickup, and Dine-in services.
You can also choose whether menu prices already include taxes or whether taxes should be added on top of menu prices.
How to Access Taxation Settings
- Log in to your restaurant dashboard.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Select Taxation.

The Taxation page contains the tax mode settings, tax slabs, and service fees.

Menu prices already include taxes
Select this option when your menu prices already include the applicable taxes.
- Tax is included in the displayed menu price.
- Tax is not added again on top of the menu price.
Apply tax on top of my menu prices
Select this option when your menu prices exclude taxes.
- Tax is calculated separately.
- The applicable tax is added to the menu price when calculating the order total.
After selecting the appropriate option, click Save.

- Click + Add Tax Slab.
- Enter the tax slab Name, such as GST 5% or Standard Food Tax.

- Delivery
- Pickup
- Dine-in, displayed as the restaurant's configured dining service name.

- Rate: The configured rates.
- Applies to: The service types for which tax is enabled.
- In use: The number of menu items using the slab.
- Actions: Available options to edit or delete the slab.

- Open the menu item you want to update.
- Find the Tax Category field.
