How to Set Up Service Fees

Service fees are additional charges applied to an order under specific conditions, such as a weekend surcharge, holiday fee, or small-order fee. You can configure the fee type, amount, applicable services, payment methods, and schedule.

Adding a Service Fee

  1. Navigate to Settings → Taxation.
  2. In the Service fees section, click + Add fee.

  3. In the modal, fill in the following details:
    • Name (required) — Enter a descriptive name for the fee (e.g., Holiday Surcharge, Weekend Fee).
    • Type (required) — Choose Percentage to calculate the fee as a percentage of the order subtotal, or Flat amount to charge a fixed amount.

    • Percentage (0–100) or Amount (required) — Enter the fee value based on the selected type.
    • Apply percentage on (required) — Select Cart subtotal to calculate the percentage fee based on the order subtotal. The fee is calculated as the subtotal multiplied by the rate and does not compound with tax or the delivery fee.
    • When does it apply? (required) — Choose when the fee should be charged:
      • Every order — Apply the fee to all eligible orders.
      • Specific weekdays — Apply the fee only on selected days of the week.
      • Specific dates — Apply the fee on selected calendar dates.
    • Service types (optional) — Select the applicable services, such as Delivery, Pickup, and Jade & Ember Dining. Leave this field blank to apply the fee to all service types.
    • Payment methods (optional) — Select the applicable payment methods, such as Cash, Wallet, Online, and Cash on delivery. Leave this field blank to apply the fee regardless of the payment method.
  1. Review the fee details and click Save fee to create the service fee.

Managing Service Fees

After saving, the service fee appears in the Service fees section. You can review its name, amount, and applicable conditions, and use the available actions to manage or delete the fee as needed.
