How to Manage Dine-in Time & Charges

Overview

The Time & Charges section lets restaurant owners configure the minimum order value and default preparation time for dine-in orders.

These settings help you establish order requirements and set a default preparation time for your restaurant.

Where to Find It

Go to Settings → Dine-in → Time & Charges.

How to Configure Time & Charges

  1. Open the Time & Charges tab.
  2. Find Minimum Order Value.
  3. Enter the minimum order amount required for a dine-in order, if applicable.
  4. Find Default Preparation Time.
  5. Enter the default preparation time in minutes.
  6. Review both values to ensure they match your restaurant's requirements.
  7. Click Save charges to save your changes.

Understanding the Settings

  • Minimum Order Value: Sets the minimum order amount required for a dine-in order. Check the storefront after saving to confirm how this requirement is applied.
  • Default Preparation Time: Sets the default time, in minutes, used for preparing dine-in orders.

Example

Suppose you configure:

  • Minimum Order Value: ₹200
  • Default Preparation Time: 20 minutes

The minimum order amount is set to ₹200, and the default preparation time is set to 20 minutes.

Important Notes

  • Enter the minimum order value according to your restaurant's ordering policy.
  • Preparation time is a default setting and may not represent the exact preparation time for every order.
  • Review the settings before saving to avoid incorrect values.
  • These settings apply to dine-in service; configure other services separately if they have different requirements.

Final Step

Click Save charges to apply the changes. Review your dine-in storefront and order workflow to confirm the settings behave as expected.
