How to Customize Dine-in Service Terminology

How to Customize Dine-in Service Terminology

Overview

The Terminology section allows restaurant owners to customize the wording used for the dine-in service on their storefront. This helps you use language that matches your restaurant's preferred style.

Where to Find It

Go to Settings → Dine-in → Terminology.

How to Customize Dine-in Terminology

  1. Open the Terminology tab.
  2. Find the field for the dine-in service name.
  3. Enter the wording you want to display instead of the default term.
  4. Review the text to ensure it matches your restaurant's preferred terminology.
  5. Click Save changes to apply the update.

Example

If your restaurant prefers the term “Eat In” instead of “Dine-in,” enter “Eat In” in the relevant terminology field and save your changes.

The storefront can then use your configured wording wherever that terminology setting applies.

Important Notes

  • Use clear wording that customers can easily understand.
  • Check the storefront after saving to verify how the updated term appears.
  • If you leave the field blank, the system may use its default terminology.
  • Changing terminology changes the displayed wording; it does not necessarily enable or disable the dine-in service.

Final Step

Click Save changes and review your storefront to confirm that the terminology appears as expected.
