How Delivery Hours and Scheduling Work Together
How Delivery Hours and Scheduling Work Together
- Delivery Hours: Settings → Delivery → Delivery Hours
- Scheduling: Settings → Delivery → Scheduling

1. Understanding Delivery Hours
Delivery Hours define when your restaurant accepts delivery orders.
You can:
- Set different opening and closing times for each day.
- Enable 24 Hours for days when delivery is available all day.
- Use + Add slot to configure multiple delivery periods.
- Close delivery on specific days.
If separate delivery hours are not enabled, the system uses the default business hours configured in the Restaurant Profile.
2. Understanding Delivery Scheduling
Scheduling controls how customers select a future delivery time.
You can configure:
- Minimum time in advance: How soon customers can schedule an order, in minutes, hours, or days.
- Maximum time in advance: How far ahead customers can schedule, up to 30 days.
- Time gap between slots: The interval between available slots—30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, or 4 hours.
- First order offset: How many minutes after opening the first scheduled slot begins.
- Show slot as a range: Whether customers see a time range or only the start time.
- Allow only scheduled orders: Whether customers must schedule an order instead of ordering immediately.
3. Example: Delivery Hours and Scheduling
Suppose your restaurant offers delivery from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and uses 30-minute scheduling intervals.
Your scheduling settings may allow customers to schedule orders at least 30 minutes in advance and up to 7 days ahead.
Customers can then choose from the available delivery time slots offered by the system, subject to your configured hours and scheduling rules.
4. What Happens When Delivery Is Closed?
If delivery is closed for a particular day or time period, customers should not expect delivery availability during that period. Available scheduled slots depend on the configured delivery hours and scheduling rules.
If you use multiple delivery-hour slots, configure them carefully to reflect the periods when your restaurant can accept delivery orders.
Important Notes
- Delivery Hours define when delivery is available.
- Scheduling defines when customers can book delivery orders in advance.
- These are separate settings and should be configured together.
- Review your settings and save each section using its respective button.
