How to Find Bambora (Worldline) API Credentials

To connect Bambora (Worldline) to your restaurant dashboard, you need the credentials requested in the gateway configuration: API Key, Merchant Number, Access Token, and Secret.

1. Log In to Your Bambora Account

  1. Open your Bambora (Worldline) merchant portal.
  2. Log in using your merchant account credentials.
  3. Select the correct merchant account if you manage multiple accounts.

2. Open the API Credentials Section

  1. Navigate to Settings → API Credentials, if available in your merchant portal.
  2. Review the credentials displayed for your account.
  3. Make sure you are using the correct environment, such as Test Mode or Live Mode, if your account supports both.

The exact menu labels may vary depending on your Worldline product and account configuration.

3. Find Your API Key

  1. Locate the API Key field in the API credentials section.
  2. Copy the API Key.
  3. Store it securely for use in your integration.

The API Key is used to identify or authenticate your integration, depending on the Worldline product you use.

4. Find Your Merchant Number

  1. Locate the Merchant Number associated with your account.
  2. Copy the number.
  3. Verify that it belongs to the merchant account you want to connect.

Your Merchant Number identifies your merchant account and must match the account used for payment processing.

5. Find or Generate Your Access Token

  1. Locate the Access Token field or the option to generate an access token.
  2. If a token is not available, follow the instructions in your merchant portal to create one.
  3. Copy and securely store the token when it is displayed.

If the portal does not provide an Access Token option, consult the documentation for your specific Bambora (Worldline) integration.

6. Find or Generate Your Secret

  1. Locate the Secret field or the option to generate a new secret.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to retrieve or create the required secret.
  3. Copy and securely store it.

Keep your Secret confidential. If you regenerate it, update the corresponding value in your restaurant dashboard to avoid interrupting payment processing.

7. Enter the Credentials in Your Restaurant Dashboard

  1. Log in to your restaurant dashboard.
  2. Go to Settings → Payments → Payment options.
  3. Open Manage gateways and select Bambora (Worldline).
  4. Enter each credential into its matching field:
    • API Key: Your API key.
    • Merchant Number: Your merchant account number.
    • Access Token: Your access token.
    • Secret: Your integration secret.
  5. Review the values and click Save.

Only enter the credentials requested by your gateway configuration.

8. Important Security Notes

  • Use credentials belonging to the correct merchant account.
  • Keep access tokens and secrets confidential.
  • Do not share sensitive credentials in screenshots, emails, or public documents.
  • If you replace a credential, update the corresponding value in your restaurant dashboard.
  • Test the payment integration before accepting live payments.

Important: Bambora and Worldline offer different payment products and regional integrations. The names and locations of credentials can vary. If you cannot find a field described above, confirm the required credential type with your payment provider before generating or replacing keys.
