How to Set Up Receipt and Print Templates

Overview

The Printers & Templates settings let you customise the receipts that are printed when an order is placed or completed. You can control exactly what information appears on the receipt — from the header and item details to totals, payment info, and a custom thank-you message.

How to Get There

  1. In the left sidebar, click Settings.
  2. Click Printers & templates.

Receipt Template Sections

Each section of the receipt can be shown or hidden using the toggle switch next to it. A live preview on the right side of the page updates as you make changes.

Header

Controls the top section of the receipt:

  • Restaurant name — Your restaurant's name
  • Address — Your restaurant's address
  • Logo — Your restaurant logo (if uploaded)
  • Order number — The unique order reference

Order Details

  • Service type — Shows whether the order is Delivery, Takeaway, or Dine-in
  • Table number — For Dine-in orders, shows the assigned table
  • Customer name — The customer's name
  • Scheduled time — If the order was scheduled for a future time

Items

  • Item names — The names of items ordered
  • Item prices — The per-line price next to each item
  • Notes — Any special instructions left by the customer

Totals & Payment

  • Subtotal — Items total before tax and tip
  • Discounts — Any promo codes or discounts applied
  • Taxes — Tax breakdown
  • Tip — Tip amount added by the customer
  • Total — Final grand total
  • Payment — Payment method and reference number

Use the Hide all button next to a section header to quickly hide all toggles in that group.

  • Footer — A thank-you message and footer text
  • Footer Note / Custom thank-you note — Print your own message below the standard footer. Enable this toggle and enter your custom message (e.g. Thank you for dining with us! Visit again soon.)

Saving Your Template

Click Save at the bottom of the page to apply your template settings. All receipts printed from this point onwards will use the new layout.

Tip: The receipt preview uses sample data (like a fictional customer and order). Your real orders will show actual customer and order information when printed.
