How to Add and Manage Staff
Overview
The Staff settings let you create login accounts for your team members so they can access and operate your restaurant's Ressto dashboard. You can set individual permissions for each staff member, controlling exactly which parts of the platform they can view or edit.
How to Get There
- In the left sidebar, click Settings.
- Click Staff.

Understanding the Staff List
The Staff page shows all accounts with access to your restaurant, including:
- Name and Email of each team member
- Role — Owner, Restaurant Manager, or Staff Login
- Outlet — Which restaurant outlet they have access to
- Last Login — When they last signed in
- Status — Whether their account is Active
How to Add a Staff Member
- Click + Add in the top-right corner.
- In the Add account modal, choose an Account type:
- Staff login — A restricted account where you choose exactly which sections the staff member can access. Ideal for kitchen staff, cashiers, or delivery coordinators.
- Restaurant manager login — A full-access account with permission to every feature. No permission selection needed. Ideal for your restaurant manager.
- Fill in the staff member's details:
- Full Name — Their name
- Email — Their login email address
- Password — Set an initial password (minimum 6 characters)
- (Staff login only) Configure their Permissions. - Click Create Member to save the account.

Managing Existing Staff
From the Staff list, click the System badge or the relevant action on a staff member's row to:
- Edit their details or permissions
- Deactivate their account to prevent login without deleting it
- Delete their account
Tip: Use the Restaurant manager login type for trusted managers who need full access. Use Staff login with limited permissions for front-of-house or kitchen staff who only need to see orders and the menu.
