How to Manage Delivery Preparation Time

You can configure the default preparation time for delivery orders. This helps indicate how long the kitchen needs to prepare an order before it moves to the next delivery stage.

Where to Find It

Settings → Delivery → Time & charges

Steps to Change Preparation Time

Go to Settings.
Select Delivery.
Open the Time & charges tab.
Find Default Preparation time (minutes).
Enter the required preparation time in minutes.
Click Save charges to save your changes.

Example

If you set the preparation time to 20 minutes, the system uses 20 minutes as the default kitchen preparation time for delivery orders.

You can change this value whenever your kitchen's preparation requirements change.

Important Notes

This setting controls the default preparation time for delivery orders.
It is separate from the Estimated Delivery Time configured for each delivery zone, which represents the travel time shown to customers.
When Auto-complete is enabled, the order moves to Out for delivery after the configured preparation time.
