How to Configure Table Reservation Booking Fields
Overview
The Booking fields settings allow restaurant owners to control which information customers must provide when requesting a table reservation. You can make standard fields required or optional and add custom questions to collect additional information.
Where to Find It
Go to Settings → Table Reservation → Booking fields.

How to Configure Default Booking Fields
The dashboard provides the following standard fields:
- Name
- Phone
- Date
- Time
- Number of guests
- Notes
Each field has a toggle to control whether it is required or optional.
- Open the Booking fields tab.
- Review the default fields.
- Enable the toggle to make a field required.
- Disable the toggle to make a field optional.
- Repeat for the fields you want to configure.
For example, you can require customers to provide their name, email, reservation date, time, and number of guests while keeping the phone number and notes optional.
How to Add Custom Booking Fields
You can add up to 10 additional fields to collect information beyond the standard booking details.
- Scroll to the Additional Fields section.
- Enter a label for the new field.
Example: Special occasion
- Select the field type:
- Short text: For brief answers.
- Long text: For longer responses.
- Dropdown: For selecting from predefined options.
- Use the Optional toggle to control whether the additional field is optional.
- Click + Add field to add another field, if required.
- Repeat until you have configured the fields you need.
- Click Save changes.
Example
Suppose your restaurant wants to know whether a reservation is for a birthday or anniversary.
You can add a custom field with the label Special occasion and select Dropdown as its type. Configure the available choices if the dashboard prompts you to do so.
