How Do Takeaway Scheduling and Pickup Hours Work Together?
How Do Takeaway Scheduling and Pickup Hours Work Together?
Pickup Hours
Pickup Hours determine when customers can place or receive takeaway orders.
You can configure:
- Opening and closing times
- 24-hour pickup
- Multiple pickup time slots
- Different hours for different days
For example:
Monday: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
This means pickup service is available during those configured hours.
Scheduling
You can configure:
- Minimum time in advance
- Maximum time in advance
- Time gap between slots
- First order offset
- Time-slot display as a range
- Scheduled orders only
- Maximum orders per slot
How They Work Together
The two settings work together when a customer schedules a takeaway order.
Example:
Your Pickup Hours are:
10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Your Scheduling settings are:
- Minimum time in advance: 30 minutes
- Maximum time in advance: 7 days
- Time gap: 30 minutes
Customers can schedule takeaway orders within your available pickup hours, subject to the scheduling rules.
Example
Suppose it is currently 9:00 AM.
Your pickup service starts at 10:00 AM, and your minimum scheduling time is 30 minutes.
The customer cannot simply choose any time. The available scheduling slots are determined by your pickup hours and scheduling settings.
Important
If separate Pickup Hours are enabled, the configured pickup hours are used for takeaway availability.
