How Dine-in Scheduling and Business Hours Work Together

How Dine-in Scheduling and Business Hours Work Together

Overview

Dine-in business hours define when your restaurant operates, while scheduling settings control when customers can schedule orders and which time slots are available.

Configuring both correctly helps ensure that your dine-in storefront reflects your restaurant's operating schedule.

Where to Find It

  • Business hours: Settings → Dine-in → Dining Hours

  • Scheduling: Settings → Dine-in → Scheduling

How Business Hours Affect Scheduling

1. Configure Dine-in Business Hours

  1. Open Dining Hours.
  2. Enable separate dine-in hours if required.
  3. Enable the Open toggle for the days your restaurant offers dine-in service.
  4. Configure the opening and closing times.
  5. Use + Add slot if your restaurant operates during multiple periods in one day.
  6. Click Save Hours.

2. Configure Scheduling

  1. Open the Scheduling tab.
  2. Enable Schedule Advance Orders if customers should be able to schedule orders in advance.
  3. Configure the minimum and maximum advance times.
  4. Set the time gap between slots and the first order offset.
  5. Configure the maximum orders per slot if required.
  6. Click Save Scheduling.

Example

Suppose your restaurant offers dine-in service during these periods:

  • Lunch: 12:00 PM–3:00 PM
  • Dinner: 7:00 PM–10:00 PM

You configure these periods under business hours and enable advance scheduling.

The scheduling options are then determined by the configured operating hours and scheduling rules.

Customers should be offered available slots within the applicable service schedule.

Important Notes

  • Business hours and scheduling are separate settings and must be configured appropriately.
  • Enabling advance scheduling does not replace the need to configure dine-in operating hours.
  • Minimum and maximum advance times limit when orders can be scheduled.
  • Time gaps and the first order offset influence the available time slots.
  • Maximum orders per slot can limit the number of orders accepted for a particular slot.
  • If separate dine-in hours are disabled, check the restaurant's default business hours to understand which hours apply.

Final Checklist

Before finishing, confirm that:

  • Dine-in business hours are correct for each day.
  • Multiple operating periods are configured where needed.
  • Advance scheduling is enabled or disabled according to your requirements.
  • The minimum and maximum advance times are appropriate.
  • Time slots and order limits match your restaurant's capacity.

Save each section using its respective button, then review the dine-in storefront to confirm the available times.
