How to Enable and Manage Ingredients Inventory

Overview

Ingredients Inventory helps restaurant owners track shared ingredients used across menu items. When enabled, it can automatically mark menu items as sold out when their required ingredients are unavailable.

This feature is available only on the Growth and Scale plans.

Where to Find It

  1. Log in to your restaurant dashboard.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select Integrations.
  4. Find the Ingredients Inventory card.

Step 1: Check Your Plan

Ingredients Inventory is available only on the Growth and Scale plans.

If your restaurant is on a different plan, you must be on an eligible plan to use this feature.

Step 2: Enable Ingredients Inventory

  1. On the Integrations page, locate the Ingredients Inventory card.
  2. Find the Enable ingredients inventory toggle.
  3. Switch the toggle on to enable the feature.

When enabled, the inventory feature becomes available for managing ingredients and can support automatically marking menu items as sold out based on ingredient availability.

Step 3: Understand the Menu Impact

When Ingredients Inventory is enabled, the inventory option becomes available for use with the menu.

This allows restaurant owners to manage ingredient stock and use inventory availability to help control whether menu items can be ordered.

Refer to the dedicated inventory management instructions for how to create ingredients, track stock, and configure ingredient usage for menu items.

Important Notes

  • Ingredients Inventory is available only on the Growth and Scale plans.
  • Enabling the option makes inventory functionality available in the menu.

Quick Checklist

  • Confirm that your restaurant is on the Growth or Scale plan.
  • Open Settings → Integrations.
  • Find the Ingredients Inventory card.
  • Enable the Enable ingredients inventory toggle.
  • Open the menu and check the available inventory options.
  • Configure ingredients and stock according to your inventory workflow.
