How to Activate or Deactivate a Restaurant

Overview

If you need to temporarily stop a restaurant from accepting orders — or bring it back online — you can activate or deactivate it directly from the My Restaurants page. This takes effect immediately and does not delete any of your data.

How to Deactivate a Restaurant

Deactivating a restaurant makes it invisible to customers and stops it from accepting new orders.

  1. Go to the My Restaurants page.
  2. Find the restaurant card you want to deactivate.
  3. Click the three-dot menu icon ( ⋮ ) in the top-right corner of that restaurant's card.
  4. Click Deactivate from the dropdown menu.
  5. The restaurant's status badge will change from Active (green) to Inactive (red).

Note: Deactivating a restaurant does not cancel your plan or delete your menu, orders, or customer data. Everything is saved and ready when you reactivate.

How to Activate a Restaurant

If a restaurant is currently inactive, you can bring it back online in just a few clicks.

  1. Go to the My Restaurants page.
  2. Find the restaurant card that shows an Inactive status badge.
  3. Click the three-dot menu icon ( ⋮ ) in the top-right corner of that restaurant's card.
  4. Click Activate from the dropdown menu.
  5. The restaurant's status badge will change from Inactive (red) to Active (green).

Tip: You can also open and close your restaurant temporarily from inside the restaurant Dashboard using the Restaurant Open / Close toggle — without fully deactivating it. Use that option for day-to-day opening and closing hours.
