How to Configure the White Label Settings

How to Configure the White Label Settings

White Label Settings allow you to personalise your Ressto admin panel with your own brand name, logo, domain, and sender email address. This feature helps you maintain consistent branding across your restaurant management platform and provide a more professional, branded experience for your team and customers.

Once the White Label feature has been enabled for your account, the White Label Settings page will be available in your Ressto admin panel. From this page, you can configure your brand name, upload your logo, set a custom admin domain, configure your storefront domain, and choose the sender email address for transactional emails.

1. Access White Label Settings

To access the White Label Settings page:

  1. Log in to your Ressto admin panel.
  2. Navigate to the left-hand sidebar.
  3. Click on WL Settings.
  4. The White Label Settings page will open, displaying the available configuration sections.

2. Brand Name

The Brand Name section allows you to replace the Ressto name with your own business or brand name throughout the admin panel.

Purpose of this setting

The brand name is displayed across the admin panel in place of the Ressto name wherever this branding is supported. This helps you customise the platform according to your business identity.

Example: If your business name is FoodHub, you can enter FoodHub in the Brand Name field. The admin panel will then use your configured brand name in place of the Ressto name wherever applicable.

Important: Make sure the brand name is spelled correctly before saving your changes.

The Logo section allows you to replace the default Ressto logo with your own business logo. The uploaded logo is used in supported areas, including the sidebar, login screen, and emails.

Supported file formats and requirements

The logo upload section supports the following formats:

  • PNG
  • JPG
  • WebP
  • SVG

Maximum file size: 1 MB.

A transparent background is recommended to help your logo blend seamlessly with the interface.

Tip: Use a clear, high-quality logo that remains recognisable at smaller sizes. A transparent PNG or SVG is generally a good choice for maintaining a clean appearance.

4. Custom Domain

The Custom Domain section allows you to configure a custom domain for accessing your admin panel. This helps you provide an admin experience under your own brand rather than using a platform-branded address.

Important: You must enter only a subdomain that you own or are authorised to manage. Do not enter your main domain (root domain).

For example, if your main domain is ressto.co, you can use a subdomain such as:

app.ressto.co
admin.ressto.co
dashboard.ressto.co

Purpose of this setting

The custom domain is intended to serve as the address through which you access your branded admin panel.

For example, instead of using a default platform address, your business can use a domain such as admin.yourbrand.com.

Important considerations

  • Use a subdomain that you own or are authorised to manage. (e.g., we have app.ressto.co)
  • Enter the domain carefully and verify that it is correct before saving.
  • Saving the domain in the settings may not, by itself, make it accessible. Any required DNS records, domain verification, or SSL configuration must also be completed according to the platform's setup requirements.

Once the required configuration is complete, your admin panel can be accessed through your custom domain.

5. Storefront Domain

The Storefront Domain section allows you to configure the base domain used for your restaurants' storefronts.
Each restaurant's storefront is served from this base domain, followed by its unique restaurant link.

How the storefront domain works

The storefront domain acts as the base address for your restaurants' ordering pages. Each restaurant is accessed through this domain, followed by its restaurant-specific link.

For example, if your storefront domain is:
We have [order.ressto.co]

And a restaurant's unique link is:
restaurant-name

The resulting storefront URL would be:
order.yourbrand.com/restaurant-name

This allows multiple restaurant storefronts to operate under a consistent branded domain while maintaining separate links for individual restaurants.

Important considerations

  • Choose a domain that is easy for customers to remember.
  • Ensure that the domain is entered correctly before saving.
  • Complete any required DNS, domain verification, or SSL setup specified by the platform.
  • Verify that the restaurant-specific storefront links work correctly after configuration.

6. Sender Email

The Sender Email section allows you to configure the email address used to send transactional emails to your customers. This helps maintain consistent branding by using your own business email address instead of Ressto's default sender address.

Purpose of this setting

The sender email setting allows your transactional emails to use your own brand's email address rather than Ressto's default sender address. This helps provide a more professional and consistent communication experience for your customers.

For example, if your business uses no-reply@yourbrand.com, you can enter that address in the Sender Email field so that transactional emails can be sent using your preferred address once the required email configuration is complete.

Important considerations

  • Choose your sender email carefully: Decide which email address you want to use for sending transactional emails before proceeding with the configuration.
  • Inform the Ressto team: Once you have decided on your preferred sender email address, inform the Ressto team of the email address you wish to configure.
  • Email verification code: A verification code will be required to complete the email setup. The Ressto team will provide you with the required code once you have confirmed your chosen sender email address.
  • Domain setup is required: Your email domain must first be added to the email provider by the Ressto team.
  • Automatic fallback: Until your domain has been configured by the Ressto team, emails will continue to be delivered using Ressto's default sender address.
  • Use a valid email address: Make sure the address belongs to a domain you own or are authorised to use.
  • Verify before relying on it: After the required setup and verification are complete, confirm that transactional emails are sent using your configured sender address.

Note: Saving the sender email address does not automatically complete the email configuration. You must inform the Ressto team of your chosen email address so that the required domain setup and verification code can be provided. Complete the verification process before relying on your own sender address for transactional emails.

7. Save Your Changes

The Save Changes button appears in the Brand Name, Custom Domain, Storefront Domain, and Sender Email sections.

Whenever you update one of these settings:

  1. Enter the required information.
  2. Review the value for accuracy.
  3. Click the corresponding Save Changes button.
  4. Confirm that the changes have been saved before moving to another section.

Conclusion

White Label Settings help you customise your Ressto platform to reflect your own brand identity. By configuring the brand name, logo, custom admin domain, storefront domain, and sender email, you can create a more consistent and professional experience for your team and customers.

Make sure to save each configuration, use a logo that meets the upload requirements, and complete any necessary domain setup before relying on your new branded URLs.
