# How to set up Apple Pay & Google Pay on SumUp

# How to set up Apple Pay & Google Pay on SumUp

Follow these steps in your SumUp account to let your customers pay with Apple Pay and Google Pay at checkout.

You'll do everything below in your **SumUp Dashboard** — no changes are needed inside your ordering system. Once these steps are complete, the Apple Pay and Google Pay buttons appear automatically for customers on a supported device.


## The steps

1. Turn on Apple Pay & Google Pay for your accountMake sure both wallets are available on your SumUp account. If you don't see the option in your Dashboard, contact **SumUp support** and ask them to enable Apple Pay and Google Pay for your account.
2. Open the wallet settingsIn the SumUp Dashboard, go to: Settings → For developers → Payment wallets
3. Set up Google PayOn that page, start the Google Pay setup and **verify your website**. Google asks you to show a Google Pay button on your site and to send a few **screenshots of your checkout**. This is done entirely from the Dashboard — nothing to install.
4. Set up Apple PayStart the Apple Pay setup and **register your website address(es)** — the domain and any subdomains where customers check out.
         SumUp will give you a small **verification file** to place on your website at this exact address:
         https://your-website.com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association
         If your ordering pages are hosted for you (not a website you upload files to yourself), send this file to your support/development contact and they'll place it for you.
5. Add every checkout website you useRegister each web address your customers pay on — for example your **own custom domain**and/or your Ressto ordering link. Do this once per address, for both **test** and **live**.
6. Test it on a real devicePlace a test order:
         The buttons only show on devices that support that wallet and have a card added, so test on both.
    * **iPhone / Mac (Safari)** → the **Apple Pay** button should appear.
    * **Android / Chrome** → the **Google Pay** button should appear.

|| Good to know. Apple Pay only appears on Apple devices in Safari, and Google Pay on Android/Chrome — so a customer won't see both. If a button doesn't appear, it's almost always because the website address wasn't registered, the verification file isn't in place yet, or the device has no wallet card set up.
