# How to Manage Takeaway Time & Charges

|| The Time & Charges settings allow you to configure the minimum order value and default preparation time specifically for takeaway orders.

These settings apply only to the **Takeaway/Pickup service**.

### Where to Find It

Go to:

**Settings → Takeaway → Time & Charges**

### 1. Minimum Order Value

| The Minimum order value determines the minimum amount a customer must spend to place a takeaway order.

For example, if you enter:

**₹199**

the customer's takeaway order must meet the minimum order value of **₹199**.

This can help you prevent very small takeaway orders.

### 2. Default Preparation Time

| The Default Preparation time (minutes) determines how much time your restaurant normally needs to prepare a takeaway order.

For example, if you enter:

**35 minutes**

the system will use **35 minutes** as the default preparation time for takeaway orders.

Set a preparation time that realistically reflects how long your restaurant normally needs to prepare an order.

### 3. Save Your Changes

After entering or updating the values, click **Save charges**.

Your new Takeaway Time & Charges settings will then be applied.

### Important Note

|| The values configured under Time & Charges apply only to takeaway orders.
If you leave a field blank, the system will automatically use the corresponding default value configured for your outlet.

For example, if you do not enter a separate takeaway preparation time, the system will use the outlet's default preparation time instead.

### Quick Summary

Go to:

**Settings → Takeaway → Time & Charges**

From here, you can configure:

* **Minimum Order Value** – The minimum amount required to place a takeaway order.
* **Default Preparation Time** – The standard preparation time for takeaway orders.
* **Fallback to Outlet Default** – Leave a field blank if you want the system to use your outlet's existing default setting.

| Click Save charges after making your changes.
