# How to Manage Takeaway Terminology

# How to Manage Takeaway Terminology

|| The Terminology setting allows you to customize the name customers see for your takeaway service. This is useful if you prefer to use a different term, such as Pickup, Collection, or another name that matches your restaurant's terminology.

### Where to Find It

Go to:

**Settings → Takeaway → Terminology**

### 1. Customize the Takeaway Name

Under **Terminology**, you will find the **Takeaway** field.

Enter the name you want to display to customers.

For example:

* **Pickup**
* **Collection**
* **Takeout**

The custom name can be used instead of the default **Takeaway** terminology.

### 2. Leave the Field Blank

If you do not want to use a custom name, leave the field blank.

The system will then automatically use the default terminology:

**Takeaway**

The page also shows the default name below the field.

### 3. Save Your Changes

After entering your preferred terminology, click **Save**.
Your updated terminology will then be applied wherever the takeaway service name is displayed.

### Example

If you change the Takeaway terminology to:

**Pickup**

customers will see **Pickup** instead of **Takeaway** where the service name is displayed.

If you clear the field, the system will return to the default:

**Takeaway**

### Quick Summary

Go to:

**Settings → Takeaway → Terminology**

From here, you can:

* Customize the name of the takeaway service
* Use terms such as **Pickup** or **Collection**
* Leave the field blank to use the default **Takeaway**
* Click **Save** to apply the changes

|| Note: Leaving the field blank does not disable the takeaway service. It simply tells the system to use the default name Takeaway.
