# How to Manage Reservation Guest Requests and Notes

## Overview

Guests may include special requests or additional information when making a table reservation. Restaurant owners and staff can review these messages before the guest arrives to prepare for the visit.

For example, a guest may mention a birthday celebration or another special occasion.

## Examples of Guest Requests

Guests may use the request or message field to provide information such as:

* Birthday celebrations
* Special occasions
* Seating preferences
* Other requests related to their visit

These are examples only; the actual requests depend on what guests submit.

## How to Prepare for a Guest Request

1. Review the request before the reservation time.
2. Determine whether your restaurant can accommodate it.
3. Inform the relevant staff about any preparation needed.
4. If clarification is required, use the guest contact details and your restaurant's usual communication process.
5. Follow up internally to ensure the team is aware of the request.

## Important Notes

* Guest requests are not necessarily guaranteed arrangements.
* Review each request individually and confirm whether your restaurant can accommodate it.
* Avoid assuming that a request has been fulfilled simply because it appears in the reservation details.
* Handle guest contact information and personal requests appropriately.

## Quick Checklist

* Opened the correct reservation.
* Reviewed the guest's request or message.
* Checked the booking details.
* Informed the relevant restaurant staff.
* Confirmed that any required preparation is understood by the team.
