# How to Manage Delivery Address Fields

|| Delivery Address Fields allow you to control which address details customers must provide when placing a delivery order. You can choose which fields appear at checkout and which fields are mandatory.

## Where to Find It

**Settings → Delivery → Address fields**

## How to Configure Delivery Address Fields

1. Go to **Settings**.
2. Select **Delivery**.
3. Open the **Address fields** tab.
4. Configure the visibility and requirement settings for each field.
5. Click **Save changes** to apply your settings.

## Available Address Fields

The following fields can be configured:

* **House / Flat, building, street:** The customer's house number, flat, building, or street address.
* **Area / Landmark:** The customer's area or a nearby landmark.
* **City:** The city where the delivery address is located.
* **Postal code:** The postal or ZIP code of the delivery address.
* **Delivery instructions:** Additional information to help the delivery person, such as directions or entry instructions.

## Show and Required Settings

Each field has two toggles:

### Show

* **Enabled:** The field appears on the storefront when customers add or edit a delivery address.
* **Disabled:** The field is hidden from customers.

### Required

* **Enabled:** Customers must provide the field before they can submit the address.
* **Disabled:** The field is optional.

Configure these settings according to the information your restaurant needs to deliver orders successfully.

## Example

Suppose you want customers to provide their street address and city, but you also want to allow optional delivery instructions.

You can configure the fields as follows:

| Field | Show | Required |
| ---- | ---- | ---- |
| House / Flat, building, street | On | On |
| Area / Landmark | On | Off |
| City | On | On |
| Postal code | On | On |
| Delivery instructions | On | Off |

| With this configuration, customers must provide their street address, city, and postal code. They can optionally add a landmark or delivery instructions.

## Save Your Changes

After configuring the **Show** and **Required** toggles, click **Save changes**.

Your settings apply to both guest checkout and logged-in customers when they add or edit a delivery address.

## Important Notes

* By default, all listed fields are shown and optional.
* You can rename the first two fields by typing a custom name; the updated names appear on the storefront.
* Keep essential address fields visible so customers can provide enough information for successful delivery.
