# How to Manage All Table Reservation Settings

# How to Manage All Table Reservation Settings

## Overview

The Table Reservation settings allow restaurant owners to configure their reservation service, operating hours, booking fields, and website integration. You can control when customers can book, how far in advance they can reserve, what information they must provide, and how the reservation form appears on your website.

This guide covers all the main settings under **Settings → Table Reservation**.

## 1. How to Manage General Settings

The General tab allows you to configure the basic rules for table reservations.

### Display Name

Enter the name you want customers to see for the reservation service.

**Example:** Reserve a Table.

If you leave this field blank, the default name is **Book a Table**.

### Notes

Add important information customers should know before making a reservation, such as booking policies or special instructions.

### Minimum No. of Guests

Set the minimum number of guests allowed per reservation. Leave the field blank if you do not want to set a minimum.

### Maximum No. of Guests

Set the maximum number of guests allowed per reservation. Leave the field blank if you do not want to set a maximum.

### Maximum Days Ahead

Specify how far into the future customers can make a reservation.

**Example:** Enter 7 to allow reservations up to seven days ahead.

### Time Interval (mins)

Set the interval between available reservation time slots.

**Example:** A 30-minute interval can provide slots at 10:00 AM, 10:30 AM, and 11:00 AM, depending on the configured hours and availability.

### Booking Lead Time (mins)

Specify how far in advance a reservation must be made.

**Example:** A lead time of 60 minutes means customers must book at least one hour before the selected reservation time.

Click **Save changes** after updating the settings.

## 4. How to Set Up the Table Reservation Widget

**Where to find it:** Settings → Table Reservation → Widget

The Widget tab provides options for connecting your table reservation service to your website.

Depending on the options displayed in your dashboard, you may have access to a direct booking link, an embed script, or custom button code.

### Direct Booking Link

1. Open the **Widget** tab.
2. Locate the direct booking link.
3. Copy the link using the available option.
4. Open it in a browser to test it.
5. Add it to your website or another appropriate location.

**Example:** Add a “Book a Table” link to your website's navigation menu.

### Embed Script

1. Locate the embed script.
2. Copy the provided code.
3. Open your website editor or content management system.
4. Add the code to the appropriate supported HTML or custom-code section.
5. Save or publish your website.
6. Test the reservation form on the published page.

### Custom Button Code

If custom button code is provided:

1. Copy the code from the Widget tab.
2. Add it to the appropriate supported section of your website.
3. Save or publish the changes.
4. Test the button to confirm that it opens the expected reservation experience.

### Important Notes

* Use the code supplied by your dashboard.
* Some website platforms restrict custom scripts or HTML.
* Contact your website developer if you need help installing the code.
* Always test the integration on desktop and mobile devices.

## 5. How Reservation Hours and Booking Lead Time Work Together

Reservation hours determine when bookings can be made. Booking lead time determines how close to a reservation time customers can book.

Other settings also affect availability:

* **Maximum Days Ahead:** Limits how far into the future customers can reserve.
* **Time Interval (mins):** Determines the spacing between available slots.
* **Minimum and Maximum Guests:** Limit the permitted party size.
* **Booking Lead Time (mins):** Sets the minimum advance notice required.

### Example

Suppose your restaurant accepts reservations from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and configures a 60-minute booking lead time.

A customer trying to book at 11:30 AM may not be able to select 12:00 PM because the selected time is less than 60 minutes away. Availability depends on the configured interval and other booking rules.

### Troubleshooting Unavailable Reservations

If an expected date or time is unavailable:

1. Check that reservations are open on the relevant day.
2. Verify the opening and closing times.
3. Check the Maximum Days Ahead setting.
4. Review the Booking Lead Time.
5. Confirm that the requested guest count falls within the permitted limits.
6. Review the time interval.
7. Save any changes and check the storefront again.

If the issue continues, investigate other reservation rules or contact your platform support team.

## 6. Final Checklist

Before making your table reservation service available, confirm the following:

* The display name and customer-facing notes are correct.
* Minimum and maximum guest limits match your reservation policy.
* Maximum Days Ahead, Time Interval, and Booking Lead Time are configured correctly.
* Reservation hours are correct for each day.
* Multiple time slots are configured where necessary.
* Booking fields are configured as required or optional.
* Custom fields are clear and appropriate.
* The website booking link, embed script, or button works if you use one.
* You have saved changes in each relevant section.
* The storefront displays the expected reservation options.

## Conclusion

|| Configuring your Table Reservation settings correctly helps you manage reservation availability, collect the information you need, and connect the booking experience to your website. Review each section whenever your restaurant's reservation policies or operating schedule change.
