# How to Deactivate or Delete a Dine-in Table

# How to Deactivate or Delete a Dine-in Table

## Overview

Restaurant owners may need to remove a table from active use when the seating arrangement changes or a table is no longer available.

Before making changes, check the actions available for the table in your dashboard to determine whether you can deactivate it or permanently delete it.

## Where to Find It

Go to **Settings → Dine-in → Tables**.

## How to Deactivate a Table

1. Open the **Tables** tab.
2. Find the table you want to deactivate.
3. Open the available actions for that table.
4. If a deactivation or status option is available, select it.
5. Confirm the change if prompted.
6. Review the table list to verify the updated status.

Deactivation is preferable when you want to stop using a table temporarily but may need it again later.

## How to Delete a Table

1. Open **Settings → Dine-in → Tables**.
2. Find the table you want to remove.
3. Open the available actions for that table.
4. Select the delete option if available.
5. Review the confirmation message carefully.
6. Confirm the deletion only if you are sure the table is no longer required.

## Important Notes

* Deactivation and deletion are different actions. Deactivation may allow the table to be used again, while deletion may be permanent.
* Check whether the table has an associated QR code or link before removing it.
* If the dashboard does not provide a deactivation or deletion option, do not assume the table can be removed using another method.
* Review the table list after making changes to ensure it reflects your current seating arrangement.

## Final Step

Before deactivating or deleting a table, verify that you have selected the correct one and understand the effect of the action.
