# How to Configure Email Notifications

# How to Configure Email Notifications

## Overview

The Email Notifications settings allow you to control which transactional emails are sent to customers and which email alerts and reports are sent to restaurant staff.

You can enable or disable individual notifications, review the primary contact email, and add additional recipients for restaurant notifications.

## Where to Find It

## 1. Configure Customer Email Notifications

The **Customer emails** section controls the transactional emails sent to customers who place orders or make bookings.

The available notification options are:

* **Order Confirmed:** Sends an order receipt and tracking link when an order is accepted.
* **Order Cancelled:** Sends an apology and refund details when an order is cancelled.
* **Order Completed:** Sends a thank-you message and receipt copy once the order is delivered or picked up.
* **Table Booking Confirmed:** Sends a booking confirmation with the date, time, and table when a booking is accepted.
* **Table Booking Not Confirmed:** Sends a polite decline with the reason when a booking cannot be accommodated.
* **Booking received:** Notifies customers when they submit a booking request and includes a link to manage it.
* **Booking updated:** Notifies customers when a booking's date or time changes.
* **Booking cancelled:** Notifies customers when a booking is cancelled.
* **Loyalty points redeemed:** Notifies customers when a completed order redeems points or claims a reward.

### How to Enable or Disable a Customer Email

1. Open **Settings → Notifications**.
2. Locate the **Customer emails** section.
3. Find the notification you want to configure.
4. Use the toggle beside that notification to enable or disable it.
5. Repeat for any other notifications you want to change.

Review each setting carefully so that the appropriate customer communications remain enabled.

## 2. Review the Primary Restaurant Contact Email

The staff notification section displays a **Primary** email address.

The screenshot indicates that this address is automatically resolved from the restaurant contact email, with a fallback to the partner login.

Review the displayed address to understand which primary email is associated with staff notifications.

The **Restaurant staff emails** section controls the email alerts and reports sent to the restaurant team.
