# How to Configure Automatic Order Completion

## Overview

The **Auto-complete orders** setting allows you to configure whether orders are automatically marked as completed after the specified preparation time.

This setting helps automate order completion based on the preparation time configured in the Operations settings.

## Where to Find It

Navigate to **Settings → Order Handling → Auto Actions**.

## Steps to Configure Automatic Order Completion

### 1. Locate the Auto-complete Orders Setting

1. Open the dashboard.
2. Navigate to **Settings → Order Handling**.
3. Select the **Auto Actions** tab.
4. Locate the **Auto-complete orders** section.

### 2. Enable or Disable Automatic Completion

* **Enable the toggle** to activate automatic order completion.
* **Disable the toggle** if you do not want orders to be automatically completed through this setting.

### 3. Review the Preparation Time

The Operations settings include a preparation-time configuration.

1. Locate the preparation-time setting.
2. Review the configured duration.
3. Confirm that the duration matches your intended order workflow.

Automatic completion is associated with the configured preparation time.

### 4. Save Your Changes

1. Review the Auto-complete orders toggle.
2. Confirm the preparation-time configuration.
3. Click **Save** in the relevant settings section, if available.

## Important Notes

* Auto-complete orders is separate from the automatic actions configured for cash orders and table bookings.
* Review the preparation-time setting before enabling automatic completion.
* Verify the behavior in the order dashboard after saving your changes.
