## Overview

The **Assign Table** feature allows restaurant owners to allocate a restaurant table to a reservation. Assigning a table helps staff identify where guests should be seated and manage seating arrangements.

The reservation details panel displays the available tables along with their seating capacities.

## Where to Find It

1. Log in to your restaurant admin dashboard.
2. Open **Reservations** from the main menu.
3. Find the reservation you want to manage.
4. Click **Manage** to open the reservation details panel.

## How to Assign a Table

1. Open the reservation you want to manage.
2. Review the reservation details, especially the **number of guests**.
3. Locate the **Assign Table** dropdown.
4. Click the dropdown to view the available table options.
5. Select a suitable table based on its seating capacity and your restaurant's seating arrangements.
6. Verify that the selected table appears in the Assign Table field.

## Understanding Table Seating Capacity

The dropdown displays table names and their seating capacities. For example, the available options in the dashboard screenshot include:

eg. :
| Table | Seating capacity |
| ---- | ---- |
| Jade | 10 guests |
| Ember | 10 guests |
| Lotus | 8 guests |
| Bamboo | 8 guests |
| Dragon | 6 guests |
| Phoenix | 6 guests |
| Pearl | 4 guests |

Choose a table that can accommodate the reservation's guest count.

**Example:** If a reservation is for 8 guests, a table with a capacity of 8 or 10 may be suitable, depending on availability and your restaurant's seating policy.
