# How Delivery Fees and Minimum Order Values Work

|| Delivery fees and minimum order values are two different settings that help you manage delivery orders. The delivery fee determines how much customers pay for delivery, while the minimum order value determines the minimum cart amount required to qualify for delivery.

## Where to Find It

**Settings → Delivery → Delivery Zone → Edit zone**

## 1. Understanding Delivery Fees

Under **Delivery charges**, select how you want to calculate delivery fees.

* **Flat fee for all orders:** Charge the same delivery fee for every eligible order in the zone.
* **Delivery Distance (Km):** Set different fees according to delivery distance.
* **Order Value (₹):** Set different fees according to the customer's order value.

## 2. Understanding Minimum Order Value

The **Minimum order value (₹)** field defines the minimum cart amount required for delivery in that zone.

For example, if the minimum order value is ₹199, customers must meet that amount to qualify for delivery.

## 3. Example

Suppose your delivery zone has these settings:

* Minimum order value: ₹199
* Flat delivery fee: ₹50

| Customer's order | Delivery fee | Eligibility |
| ---- | ---- | ---- |
| ₹150 | ₹50 | Below the minimum order value |
| ₹199 | ₹50 | Meets the minimum order value |
| ₹500 | ₹50 | Meets the minimum order value |

| The delivery fee is separate from the order value. In this example, an eligible ₹500 order has a ₹50 delivery fee before any other applicable charges or discounts.

## 4. How to Update These Settings

1. Go to **Settings → Delivery**.
2. Open **Delivery Zone**.
3. Click **Edit zone** for the required zone.
4. Update **Minimum order value (₹)**.
5. Under **Delivery charges**, select your preferred calculation method and configure the fee.
6. Click **Save changes**.

## Important Notes

* Each delivery zone can have its own minimum order value and delivery charges.
* Distance-based and order-value-based charges require their respective ranges to be configured.
* Review your settings carefully before saving.
